Terms of use

Last updated 19 August 2026.

By using PharmaceuticalCompanies.com you agree to these terms. They are written to be read, not to be impenetrable.

What this site is

A directory and reference work assembled from public federal records: the FDA Drug Establishments Current Registration Site, the openFDA National Drug Code Directory, the FDA Orange Book and the FDA drug shortage database. We reorganise and present that information. We do not originate it.

We are independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of the FDA or any government agency.

What the data is not

  • Not medical advice. Nothing here is guidance on treatment, prescribing or drug safety. Shortage entries in particular must not be used clinically; check the FDA database directly.
  • Not a quality judgement. An FDA registration means a site is authorised to perform an operation. It says nothing about whether that site would pass your audit, and appearing in a category is not a recommendation.
  • Not legal or patent advice. Patent expiry is not loss of exclusivity. Paediatric extensions, regulatory exclusivity, 30-month stays and settlements routinely move the real date. Take advice before acting on a cliff date.
  • Not a substitute for diligence. Use this to know what to check, then verify against the primary source before committing money.

Accuracy

Federal sources contain errors, lag behind corporate reality, and name the same company several different ways. We resolve those names automatically, and that process is imperfect: subsidiaries and recent acquisitions may appear separately, and occasionally a company is merged or split incorrectly. Our methodology page sets out the known limitations honestly. The site is provided as is, without warranty of accuracy, completeness or fitness for a particular purpose.

Tell us about an error and we will fix it.

Commercial disclosure

Companies can claim their profile free, and can pay for a verified or featured placement. Sponsored placement is always labelled. It buys prominence and nothing else.

We do not accept payment to alter, remove or reorder any fact drawn from the federal record. A sponsor cannot appear in a category it holds no registration for, cannot have a shortage entry taken down, and cannot change its facility list. That constraint is the reason the directory is worth reading, so it is not negotiable.

Claiming a profile

By claiming a company profile you confirm you are authorised to act for that company. We verify control of an email address before approving a claim, but verification is not proof of authority. We may reject or reverse a claim, and may remove content you submit, at our discretion. You keep ownership of what you submit and grant us a licence to publish it on the profile.

Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape the site at scale. The underlying federal datasets are public and free; take them from the source rather than from us.
  • Do not use the site or its data to send unsolicited bulk email.
  • Do not attempt to extract contact details we have deliberately withheld.
  • Do not misrepresent yourself when claiming a profile or sending a sourcing request.

Sourcing requests

When you send a sourcing request we pass it to suppliers whose registrations match. We are not a party to anything that follows. We do not vet suppliers commercially, do not guarantee a response, and take no position on any contract you enter into.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for losses arising from use of this site or reliance on its data, including commercial decisions, procurement choices or missed regulatory obligations. Nothing here limits liability for fraud or for anything that cannot lawfully be limited.

Changes and contact

We may update these terms; the date at the top will change. Continued use after an update means you accept it. Questions go to hello@pharmaceuticalcompanies.com.

Provenance

These pages describe how this site actually operates and were written to be accurate rather than boilerplate. They are not legal advice and have not been reviewed by a lawyer. If you need a position you can rely on commercially, have counsel review them. Questions: hello@pharmaceuticalcompanies.com.
